The Mahoney Family Fund is committed to helping families build nurturing environments so kids can thrive. We do this in collaboration with nonprofits who work diligently to mitigate domestic violence and child abuse.
The Mahoney Family Fund is in memory of Dr. Hugh, Ruth & John Mahoney. Their lives ended on New Year's Eve, 1975 during a violent armed robbery. On the 40th anniversary of their deaths, Maureen Mahoney honored their lives with a Tribute at the Tewksbury Country Club. Over 300 guests came to find closure and healing from a tragedy that left the entire community devastated.
Maureen and the Mahoney Family Fund Committee work diligently to mitigate violence, especially violence in the home and against children. Violence begets violence, just like peace will beget peace. Breaking the cycle of violence is a critical part of the Mahoney Family Event Fund's mission.
